I am a 44 year old family man, that got started late. My first son was born a month before my 40th birthday. I see pros and cons to having children later in life. On the plus side, I have a greater understanding and appreciation for the fleeting nature of time. I choose to savor the time I have with my children. On the down side when they become teenagers and want to test my athletic ability, I fear that I will be at the disadvantage unless I work hard to stay in shape.
